The first edition of the TERRAVIVA FILM FESTIVAL has ended on the 20th of December 2020, with the award cerimony. The film and culture festival has taken place online and has been visible through the MyMovies platform from the 15th to the 20th of December, with the aim of promoting and deepening increasingly topical and urgent topics such as social inclusion, personal identity, immigration, environmental protection and the concept of sharing.
The fulcrum of the event has been the competition for feature films and short films from all over the world judged by a first jury made up of students and a second technical jury made up of prominent personalities from culture and the movie industry: Silvia Bizio (journalist), Fabrizia Sacchi (actress), Ambrogio Lo Giudice (director), Cristiano Governa (screenwriter), Gaia Bottazzi (actress and human rights student) and Marco Cucco (Department of Arts-UniBo).
During the awards ceremony on December 20th, conducted by Enrico Magrelli, the “Raffaele Pisu” Award, (Best feature film prize), has been awarded by the technical jury to “Songs of The Water Spirits” by Nicolò Bongiorno;
This is the jury’s motivation: "The theme of climate change is treated in a particularly innovative way: the director manages to involve, immerse the viewer in an intimate world, narrated in a personal way and in which nature is the real protagonist. Climate change is narrated in fact in a spiritual way, it is characterised as a process of moving away from the value of the earth, water, natural elements".
